What do my guests need to know before arriving for the event?
It’s important to us that all guests are prepared to get the most out of their experience on Rosie Boat’s private charter experience. A week before your event, we will send you a pre-boarding email to forward to all of your guests which will detail everything they need to know including the Conditions of Boarding.
For safety and risk management, we require all passengers to complete a pre-boarding form, which will be linked in that email, or can be completed bia QR code on the day.
Food & Drinks
Can we bring our own drinks?
Yes! Rosie is a BYO charter, so you’re welcome to bring your own alcohol. We even offer a complimentary Dan Murphy’s pick-up service, so your drinks can be waiting on board, chilled and ready to drink when you arrive!
Do you provide cocktails?
We love mixing up cocktails for you! Here’s how it works:
- Choose your cocktail from the Mr Consistent range.
- Include the mixers and spirits in your Dan Murphy’s order
- We’ll collect them for you and mix, blend and service your cocktails once you’re on board. Easy and delicious!
What catering options are available?
- We offer gourmet grazing boards that can be added to your charter. This is out most popular and recommended option. Our grazing boards are generous and delicious and make your event organisation a total breeze for you. Let us take care of everything!
- BYO food is welcome—bring platters, snacks, or anything that doesn’t require heating.
- We can help you to arrange a chef to cook for you and serve you cocktail or sit-down style on board.
Do you provide glassware and serving items?
We supply glassware, eskies and ice. Any catering ordered through us will also include cutlery, napkins and plates. If you choose to BYO catering, you will need to provide those items.
Onboard Experience
What’s the vibe like on Rosie?
Think laid-back luxury—a mix of vintage charm and fun, effortless celebration. Every detail of Rosie’s refurbishment has been carefully considered to bring you a vibe that is truly unique. We then work with you on styling, music and seating to further customise the atmosphere to perfectly suit the event you want to create.
Can we play our own music?
Of course! Rosie has a Bluetooth sound system, so you can connect your phone and play your own playlists. Want a DJ? We can organise that too!
Can we swim during the charter?
Yes! Our inflatable party floating pad is available for guests who want to take a dip and soak up the sun. Swimming is only allowed while Rosie is anchored, and guests must follow crew instructions for safety.
What happens if it rains?
Rosie has a spacious undercover deck, so your event can go ahead rain or shine. This feature is a truly unique aspect of Rosie. We’re one of the only private charter boats on the Gold Coast that has the undercover space to allow all guests to continue to mingle and celebrate regardless of the weather. If conditions are deemed unsafe, we’ll reschedule your charter.
Is Rosie family-friendly?
Yes! While many of our charters are adults-only celebrations, Rosie is also perfect for family-friendly outings and private events with kids. Just let us know in advance so we can tailor the experience accordingly.
Other Important Details

Is Rosie wheelchair accessible?
Due to the nature of the vessel, accessibility is limited. Please reach out to discuss specific requirements, and we’ll do our best to assist.
Where do we board?
Rosie departs from Pelican Beach Boat Ramp, Main Beach, but alternative pick-up locations can be arranged on request.
Do you offer gift vouchers?

Imagine pooling with a group of friends to gift an incredible charter experience for someone’s special birthday, wedding or honeymoon?
On the Day
What happens on the day of my event?
- We ask that all guests arrive 10 minutes prior to departure, and wait at the meeting point at the top of the Pelican Beach Boar Ramp.
- Captain Rowan will greet your guests to conduct a safety briefing and ensure everyone has completed their pre-boarding form (if your guests haven’t done this before arriving, there will be a QR code available for them to scan and complete).
- Guests will then be escorted on board, shown where the facilities are located, and where they can safely store belongings.
- Our friendly crew will coordinate with you regarding drinks service, catering service and music.
- Sit back, relax and enjoy your celebration on the water!
What do we bring?
What you and your guests bring will depend on the package we have discussed beforehand. If you are having a BYO event, you will need to bring your own food and drink. For pre-mixed drinks and beers, we request that cans are brought on-board rather than glass bottles.
We will provide glassware for wine, cocktails and bubbles.
Try to limit non-essential items onboard to ensure your party has as much room as possible to mingle, move around and dance!
What do we wear?
We love hosting events of all styles! You can dress to impress, or you can hang out in your bikinis and boardies. Encourage your guests to dress in a way that will suit your event. Shoes are allowed on board, but we recommend against high heels (wedges or flats will help you get your sea-legs much quicker).
